When our phone rang...

...at 5:30 in the morning we found out that little miss "M" was on her way. We were so excited for the "G" family!! Big sister came to stay with us until "M" arrived. She made it home from the hospital just in time to celebrate her first Christmas. I was honored and thrilled to photograph little "M"! She was not in the sleeping mood during our session so mom and I had to work pretty hard to get her to rest her eyes... but then, voila!! ... sweet sleepy photos! She is such a beautiful baby! Thank you and Congratulations "G" family. Here are a few sneak peeks...

Lullaby...

... and good night. This sweet little boy was such a great sleeper for me during our session. I hope that he is just as good at sleeping for mom and dad. I was honored to photograph this sweet child soon after Christmas. What a special gift he is! Oh, and just take a look at his precious little lips! Thank you mom, dad, grandma and auntie for all of your help during our session and congratulations "W" family!!... here are a few sneak peeks from our time together :-)

Love them!

I have had the honor of photographing the "H" family several times this year and was so excited to do some "chubby" baby shots of little "A" after Christmas. She has grown so much since I last photographed her as a newborn. She is just beautiful and had the BEST expressions! I had so much fun!! We were also able to fit in some family photos with big sisters "B" and "T". I absolutely adore this family! Thank you "H" family... Oh, and by the way... get comfortable because there are bunch of sneak peeks (I could not help myself). Enjoy!

A little time off.

I would like to thank all of my wonderful clients that have given me the opportunity to photograph their family during 2008!! I am have been so blessed with the start of my business this year and I truly appreciate all of you for helping make 2008 an exciting year for Audrey Daum Photography.

Now it is time for me to take a little time off to re-group, re-fresh and get ready for 2009! I will not be taking any sessions (except a limited number of newborn sessions) until January 17th. I plan to come back with new ideas, new locations, new equipment and some new tricks in 2009. I can't wait to see what 2009 has in store for Audrey Daum Photography :-). But don't go anywhere!...I will still be blogging during my "time off" so stay tuned!

And since a post is dull without a picture... these are just for fun! (lovin' Matilda Jane!!)

The happiest boy on the block!

I struggled with the blog title for this post. Although the title I chose most certainly fits, so does... "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth..." (hee hee) or "Oh, the weather outside is frightful..." (it was very chilly for this little one). Thank you Mom and Dad for letting me get some family shots on this cold December afternoon.

I had the honor of photographing little "H" as a newborn and I just LOVE watching him grow and change. Wow... they grow so fast! His big smile just melts my heart! Don't you just look at his cute face and smile inside?? I do! Here are a few sneak peeks from our session :-)

Merry Christmas!

Photographer's Prayer

Oh God, as I bring my subject into focus and prepare to make each portrait, never let me forget that I'm creating treasures for some family, a keepsake for loved ones...

Make me sensitive to the qualities and virtues of others, that I may draw out into the light the beautiful radiant belongings of their hearts...

Help me Oh Lord, to be an artist, collecting the beauty of every soul, the glow of youth, the wisdom of age, the gentleness, the laughter or tears of each life that is precious in thy sight...

Deeper than a means of livelihood, give me the perspective to see my photographer's art as a service to others, making life richer and more memorable...

And, Dear Lord, between the lights and shadows, the ups and downs and the rolling years, keep me from getting out of focus or off center so that my life and work may be framed with dignity and colored with contentment...

AMEN

aglow.

We are anxiously waiting for you sweet baby girl! Mommy is 34 weeks and counting!

My beautiful (inside and out) friend "K" allowed me to take her maternity photos and I am just thrilled with how they came out. Mom and Dad are gorgeous!... and "K" is just GLOWING even more these days! I love how the Christmas tree lights added a special touch to these photos. This big window that Dad found for me was a natural light photographer's dream! Thanks "C"!

I can't wait to meet this precious baby and watch her grow... she is already loved dearly! Enjoy your sneak peeks Mom and Dad...

Brrrrr....

...it was a chilly day for little Miss "R" but she did not seem to mind. She hung in there for our session like a champ! At this age, it is fun to run around and explore... which is exactly what "R" wanted to do :-). "R" is in town with Mom and Dad for Thanksgiving and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to photograph her! Just look at those eyes! What a doll! I hope you enjoy your sneak peeks "R" family...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Daddy's Girl.

Big sis is a daddy's girl through and through and it looks like lil sis will be a mommy's girl :-). Both are cute as can be and mom did a fabulous job dressing them! I love little "L's" shoes! Mom and Dad adore these two little girls and you can see the love shine through in their photos (my favorite kind of photos!). Thank you "H" family for a wonderful session! Here are a few sneak peeks... many more to come!
