Happy Birthday to you! | Atlanta Family Photographer

Happy Birthday big 5 year old!!! Big brother just turned 5 in March so we did some photos to celebrate his birthday and we got some family photos at the same time. These photos speak for themselves. What a beautiful family (inside and out). My youngest (4 years) has already claimed "S" as her "boyfriend". Watch out Mom and Dad- you will most definitely have trouble with girls as these boys get older :)

And Big Sis - Those eyes are amazing! She is super smart and has such a sweet spirit. It is easy to see how much those boys adore her. She is pretty brave too (See the story below).

Have I ever mentioned my fear of snakes on this blog before? Yes, I think about it all of the time when I am shooting in a field or tall grass or ivy or pretty much anywhere. I have not encountered one on a session... until now. Fortunately Dad and big sis handled the copperhead snake that they found while my attention was focused on shooting cutie pie boys. Did you hear that? Copperhead snake! Poisonous. Copperhead. Snake. Are you wondering why there are no photos of this snake? It is because this photographer is a chicken when it comes to snakes and couldn't get near it to snap a photo. But everything turned out fine. Everyone is okay and we ended the day with some beautiful photos of this beautiful family.

I am back! I am so sorry that I have not blogged in a while. Life has kept me pretty busy these days.

Look at these cuties pies! I love their eyes. I love her curls. I love how he just learned to sit but when he laughs he knocks himself backwards :). I love her little laugh and how she kisses her little brother. I love the colors this time of year. I love working with their sweet momma and I love way too many of their photos! First of all I want to say - aren't these kids adorable? I love big brother's wavy hair and beautiful brown eyes. Little sister's cubby cheeks are precious (sigh)... and those long lashes are gorgeous.

I am loving the sunny and mild weather we are having in Atlanta these past few days. It has been beautiful and I am soooo ready for spring. I was excited when I talked to my dear friend about a session for her children. I had not seen their family in a long time and couldn't wait to see how much the kids had grown. I had a great time catching up and capturing photos of these two cuties. I hope to see you guys again sometime very soon! Here are a few sneak peeks from our time together...

Guess what is just around the corner? (I mean like RIGHT around the corner). Spring! Have you booked your spring photo session yet? It will be here before you know it and spring is a beautiful time for portraits.

The BEST gift ever and Happy New Year | Atlanta Newborn Photographer

Happy 2012! I hope that you all had a fabulous holiday. I was able to spend some restful time with family over the break and am now ready to get back to work. I am looking forward to great things to come in 2012 for Audrey Daum Photography!!

When I was pregnant with my second child, I found myself very worried about how my older daughter would respond to the new baby. Well, the reaction my older daughter had to my new little one in the hospital was love at first sight. The reaction she had to me... was not as warm and fuzzy. She would not come near me. I was destroyed. Then my doctor walked in and said "Audrey, do not worry. This is the BEST gift you could ever give to her. I promise you."

This precious little one is already adored by her older sister. SHE is the best gift her mom and dad will EVER give to her older sister. What a special Christmas it was for this family. I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of it and capture these tender sister moments. It melts my heart over and over every time I work on these photos (and I am tearing up as I type now).
